My name is Janie Gibson & I’m on the board for Family Education For Christ over in Savannah. I wanted to get the word out to homeschoolers in your area about the start-up of the Coastal Homeschool Athletic Association. The website www.coastalhomeschoolathletics.org has all pertinent info.
My husband, Gene, along with local homeschool dad Jeff Brown & others, have started an 8-man, full-contact football team. We are planning several games this season, TBA. We are also planning for competitive basketball & baseball teams, with coaches on board for each of those.
This is God’s timing, and we are excited to see what He is bringing about! Thanks for taking a look at the website above, and sharing the information. It is our hope that this will be a blessing to homeschooling families in the entire coastal area.

CHEC is so excited and proud to announce our Keynote Speaker for CHEC 2011, David Hazell!
So many of you have asked to have My Father’s World back! We are pleased to announce their return for CHEC 2011 – June 9th-11th.
David has been involved in homeschooling since 1987. During several of those years he was a stay-at-home dad directly responsible for educating his children. For eight years, David and his family lived in Russia where he served in Bible translation in Siberia and helped coordinate Bible translations in 80 languages.
His six children often ministered with him as he traveled throughout Russia and Europe. David and his wife Marie now devote the majority of their time to the development of My Father’s World (http://www.mfwbooks.com/) curriculum with the dual goal of providing support for Bible translation and raising up generations of families that see the world through God’s eyes and live according to that knowledge.
